Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Roots professional network, including the Roots web app, mobile apps, and the Roots LinkedIn Sync Chrome extension.
Effective July 20, 2026
You must provide accurate information when applying for a Roots account. Membership is granted after review and may be declined or revoked at Roots' discretion. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure.
Roots is a professional community. You agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, deceptive, or infringing; not to misuse other members' data, including exporting or scraping it; and not to interfere with the operation or security of the service.
Roots has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You can report content or block members from within the app. Roots reviews reports within 24 hours, removes content that violates these terms, and suspends or removes the accounts responsible.
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant Roots a license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so other members can see it. You can delete your content or your entire account at any time.
You may stop using Roots and delete your account at any time from the in-app settings or the account deletion page. Roots may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.
Roots is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Roots is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
